  • Rebecca Catterall The Devon and Cornwall Rail Partnership is holding its annual conference on community rail in Plymouth next Wednesday 7th September. We still have a few spaces left and were wondering if any members of the cafe would like to attend? Details of the conference can be found by following the link, and if you would like to attend please email me at rebecca.catterall@plymouth.ac.uk. http://www.dcrp.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/DCRP-conf-agenda-sept-2016.pdf

  • Richard Burningham Has anyone done any research away from the railway asking people who either don't use the railway (or use it infrequently) their views on their local train service and what might make them use it or use it more?

  • Tony Smale Continuation of my previous post... For most stations in Britain, it’s easy to check the poster for any particular station by viewing it online from the comfort of your own home: (1) Go to the National Rail website (2) Select your Station (3) Click on “Getting to and from the station” (4) Look down the list for “Onward travel information” - for most stations it will say “Information to plan your onward journey is available in a printable format here”. Remember that the version online may be more up to date than the version at the station – that, in itself, is worth reporting! When the poster first appeared at Wool station about 6 years ago, John, a member of our Station Adoption group, was astonished to find that the doctors’ surgery was in his back garden – how was it he hadn’t noticed? … We got it moved!

  • Chris Austin Looking forward to seeing everyone at Torquay.  The cafe is a great idea, and I look forward to future chats over a coffee or something stronger!
